Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 August 2026

1. Who we are

The Cohort (thecohort.academy, “the Platform”) is operated by:

ESleeswijk Consultancy B.V.

Ligusterbaan 1, suite 414, 2908 LW Capelle aan den IJssel, the Netherlands

Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 42034470

Email: info@thecohort.academy (also reachable at info@uforu.nl)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to every visit to and every purchase on the Platform. By using the Platform or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

2. What we offer

The Cohort is an online professional training programme in applied AI judgment. The programme consists of eight structured online labs delivered over eight weeks, combining digital learning materials — lessons, worksheets and session recordings, accessible through the Platform — with scheduled live online sessions. The next cohort starts on 14 October 2026. All products are digital and delivered online; no physical goods are shipped. All curriculum and materials are created in-house.

3. Ordering and payment

You contract directly with ESleeswijk Consultancy B.V., the seller of record for all orders on the Platform. Card payments are processed by Stripe on our behalf; we never see or store your full card details. Organisations can request an invoice with 30-day payment terms instead of paying by card. We issue the invoice and account for applicable VAT. Prices are shown before you complete checkout, including applicable VAT where required. For any question about a payment, contact info@thecohort.academy.

4. Programme access and delivery

After purchase you receive access to the Platform for your cohort. Digital materials become available through the Platform; live online sessions take place on scheduled dates and are recorded so participants can rewatch them. Where digital materials are made available to you immediately after purchase, you expressly consent to that immediate delivery. We may adjust the schedule or curriculum where reasonably necessary, provided this does not materially reduce the substance of the programme.

5. Licence and acceptable use

Upon purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the programme materials for your own professional development. You may not:

  • share your account access or distribute, publish, resell or forward materials or recordings;
  • record or redistribute live sessions yourself;
  • use the materials or the Platform to build a competing programme, product or dataset.

6. No guarantee of outcomes

The Cohort is professional education. Completing the programme does not guarantee any specific career, business or certification outcome. The Platform is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any external certification body or government agency.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance. If a live session cannot take place as scheduled, we provide a replacement session or the recording.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform, its software, design, curriculum and all materials are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of ESleeswijk Consultancy B.V. or its licensors. The licence in Section 5 is the only right you acquire.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including liability for intent or deliberate recklessness. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim connected to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid for the programme giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the claim. If you purchase as a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

10. Refunds

See our Refund Policy for the money-back guarantee and how to request a refund.

11. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Platform at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer residing in another EU country, you also retain the protection of the mandatory consumer provisions of your country of residence. Disputes may be submitted to the competent Dutch court or, for consumers, the court competent under applicable consumer protection rules.
